Our Christmas cheer 2009 started with the Nutcracker at the PAC at Cal Poly. (Well, really it started with my annual Cookie Exchange, but I didn't take any pics...) This year they added a "Sugar Plum Tea" right before the afternoon showing. The girls, Yia Yia and myself got all dolled up and headed over to the PAC.
You will notice a trend in our Christmas activity... they are wearing the same outfit for all of them. It was a really cute outfit. I definitely got my money's worth.
The Sugar Plum tea was great fun for the little ones. They got a plate of cutesy cookies, sparkling cider and hot vanilla tea. The dancers came around and the girls got their pictures taken with them (pics are on Yia Yia's camera). The producer also had all of the little girls (and a few little boys) get into a group and taught them some dance mooves that the dancers would be doing in the show. They sure loved it.
The show was great, Mother Ginger was the crowd pleaser. They didn't like the boy with white tights (neither did I) and Addie really like when the "Bad Mouse" (who she had to have on her Christmas list last year) got traped in a giant mouse trap.
All in all, it was a success. As a bonus, their great friend Isabella just happened to be sitting right behind us, so the girls got to hang out during intermission.
