New Years
We spent New Years with our dear friends the Shoemakers. Mike was working so the girls and I headed over around dinner time. The kids played beautifully while the adults cooked dinner, chatted and just relaxed. The girls and I were in charge of dessert and I thought a few crafts would keep the kids busy. They made 2010 glasses (pipe cleaners) and kazoos (decorated TP rolls with wax paper and a rubberband)

The kids did poppers on and off all night (Midnight was soooooo long for them to wait! They did make it though!)

And George had saved a fantastic firework for the big event! We bundled the kiddies and headed outside.
When the crafts were done, poppers popped, dessert eaten, games played, there was about 15 minutes until the ball dropped. The kids really wanted to try to stay up. This was the first year we even let them attempt and they did it! There weren't any melt downs or anything. My girls did sleep until 10am the next morning to catch up!
All in all, we had a great relaxing New Years Eve. Great friends, great sparkling cider, to ring in a GREAT NEW YEAR!
