There is a 4 year old in the house!!!

Addisen Raymee is 4!!!! January 3 was Addie's special day... and a special day it was! This year her birthday fell on a Sunday, which was perfect because Mike was home and we had nothing planned. Well of course, we planned on listening and carrying out all requests of the birthday princess. Here is a recap of the excitement:

Mom made a special cake (practice for the actual party cake... stay tuned). When the princess finally awoke (at 9 am!) she ran out and said, "Mommy! It's my birthday today!" It is our family tradition to leave balloons on their beds and their chairs with gifts and cake in place on the table. She quickly jumped into place and beamed with excitement! That is until she realized something was missing. Something that had never before been included... "Mommy, where is my crown???" "Um, well, we don't have a special birthday crown. We could make one????" The subject was quickly dropped. Until her best friend's mom (Beth) text me that Anabelle has been waiting since before the sun came up to bring her best friend her birthday surprise. Cue hero music.... dah dah da dah!!! Anabelle to the rescue! Aparently crowns are VERY important to 4 year olds and soon-to-be 4 year olds because we now had a crown. And some beeeeautiful red flowers and a very cute Birthday balloon. I didn't quite get it together in the moment to take a pic of the two cuties, but I'm sure you can use your imagination. The crown was worn almost all day, while she ate her yummy choco chip pancakes and even to church. After church we came home and made english muffin pizzas (picked by dad, only because Addie Ray would have picked macaronni and cheese for all 3 meals). Then it was time for cake!!
And presents!!
And since it was such a beautiful day in the neighborhood... we decided to head to the park and practice riding bikes. We had taken the girls to the Lake Park the day before to try to get Addie to practice riding her bike w/o training wheels. Once around the lake and she pretty much had it mastered. She was still in the mood on her birthday, so we took advantage.... she is pro now and we have the footage to prove it.

The girl road miles and miles. As of this afternoon (Monday) she was starting and stopping all by herself and doing tricks... made my heart stop. Heaven help me when this baby boy gets to that age. He'll be in full pads!
We ended the day with dinner at Bubba's. (No, the food really isn't that great, but you get to eat free on your b-day AND they sing to you!!!) This is a pic of the pic they took because when we left the house we were just going to the store - where I wouldn't need my camera. Then I decided it would be more fun to eat out, so no camera. Addie found it HILARIOUS that they served her a cowpie. Told her Nana on the phone later, "I ate a cowpie!"

I cannot believe my little baby girl is already 4. She has made our lives so bright and I am thankful for her everyday. Happy Birthday to my favorite 4 year old girl! We love you sooooo!!!!
